I'm an enthusiastic, and self-driven software engineer, originally from Mexico City. I came to the United States when I was 19 years old. Initially, I decided to enroll in an exchange program as an au pair. Being an au pair tremendously helped me to take ownership of my responsibilities, and become a highly reliable individual. I wanted to take advantage of my adaptive, and quick learning abilities, and do what I've always had a natural propensity towards, which was technology. So I began teaching myself foundations of front and back end web development. When my au pair program ended, and as I demonstrated to myself how quickly I can pick up the concepts and frameworks of software engineering, I knew right away that I wanted to be a software engineer. I joined General Assembly's 12-week immersive software engineering course.
For many, an intensive, 12-week program is not enough to understand and grasp everything you need to change careers, and become a web developer. That's true! What you need is someone who can quickly learn new technology/concepts, but also have the drive and discipline to do his/her own research, and additional materials outside of a course. This is exactly the kind of challenge that fuels me. I sought every additional resource I can get for each course material, took supplemental online courses in tandem, and never hesitated to ask questions when I didn't know something. I want to bring the same energy to your organization.

Not everything is coding, so I want to share some of my hobbies with you
I started painting since I was 7 years old. This is one of the latest paint I've been working on, oil painting is one of my preferences.
This is me when I moved to Boston in 2017! I love boat cruises, lakes, beaches but my favorite habitat are forests. I would love to live outside of the city but still visit some other countries.
I used to practice horse riding, when I lived in Mexico. Started with a lot of fear when I was little but now one of my favorite feelings in the world is galloping in open areas.
